Make It Your Own

Use a shop-bought mild curry sauce jar for ease, or mix your own from turmeric, mild curry powder and a spoon of yoghurt — cheaper if you cook curry often.

Serve With

Naan bread (or extra rice) and grated carrot with cucumber

Let's Cook

  1. Soften the onion for 5 minutes, then add the garlic and ginger for 1 minute — this is the flavour base for the whole curry.
  2. Add chicken and cook until sealed.
  3. Stir in the curry sauce (or spice mix with a splash of water) and a pinch of salt.
  4. Simmer 15–20 mins until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve with rice, scattered with coriander and a squeeze of lime if you have them.
🎯 Family Challenge: Can everyone add one extra vegetable to their curry?

Little Helpers

3–5: Measure the rice.
6–9: Stir in the sauce.
10+: Help fry the onion, supervised.
